Safety is our upmost priority at Mama Bear & Cubs Ltd; our necklace design, teething products & weaning items have been safety tested to meet the required standards for safe use.

Safety standards & Testing:
All items are checked thoroughly before being packaged and shipped out to you. Each teething/breastfeeding/weaning product comes with its own safety warning and care card which should be kept for reference.

Necklace/teethers/bangles have been tested by a UKAS accredited testing house to the relevant EN71 standards, parts 1 (mechanical & physical properties), part 2 (flammability), part 3 (specification for migration of certain elements) and they are BPA free, phthalates free, cadmium free, lead free & FDA approved. The animal teethers meet CE requirements.

Weaning sets comply with BS EN71 part 1 and 3 safety requirements. They have been tested for physical safety and chemical migration. Our weaning set has been checked that there are no sharp elements, that there are no removable parts which could snap off and cause harm and that the material they are made from is safe and does not contain any harmful substances. Made from 100% high grade food safe silicone which is tested to LFGB EU standards. Our silicone is both LFGB EU and FDA approved.

All of our silicone products have been tested by an UKAS accredited independent test house and pass all tests. They are completely non-toxic and do not contain any harmful chemicals such as; BPA, Lead, Phthalates, Mercury, PVC or Latex.

Consumer Responsibility

Teethers & Bangles:

REMOVE ALL PACKAGING before use.
DO NOT leave your child unsupervised with this product.
All our teethers/bangles are made to be durable but no product is indestructible, fully formed teeth could potentially damage the product if chewed aggressively so the consumer should always check for wear & tear before each use.
Adult supervision is required at ALL times when using our products. The bangle is NOT a toy & is to be worn by adults ONLY. They should NEVER be worn by or left unattended with babies or children.

Necklaces:

THE NECKLACE IS NOT A TOY- THEY ARE DESIGNED AS ADULT JEWELLERY ITEMS AND SHOULD NEVER BE WORN BY CHILDREN.
NEVER LEAVE YOUR BABY ALONE WITH THE NECKLACE AS IT POSES AS A CHOKING/STRANGULATION RISK.
The beads are mounted on a soft nylon cord with a breakaway clasp fitted so that the necklace simply pops undone should little hands tug too enthusiastically, to avoid a strain on Mamas neck. All the beads are secured in place on the cord with knots tied at either end for extra security.
THE CORD AND CLASP ARE NOT DESIGNED TO BE CHEWED ON OR PUT IN A CHILD’S MOUTH.

Cleaning & Care:

We recommend that you clean our necklaces, bangles & teethers before first use and regularly clean them. The products can be kept clean by wiping them down with Milton wipes or with a soapy damp cloth - do not soak the teethers with a wooden element in water as this could compromise the overall quality. Leave to air dry. To preserve the wooden element, you can apply natural bees wax, Olive oil or Coconut Oil.
